A week after coming back from Oman, I flew to Miami where I participated in the US Sailing Paris 2024 Quad Training Camp. For 10 days I got to meet and train with my fellow Olympic hopefuls. Every morning we had a two-hour-long zoom call on a different subject of sailing; nutrition, tactics, hydrodynamics, equipment, weather, fitness, and media. It was really cool to learn from so many experts. After our meeting, we headed to the sailing center, where we had another meeting that was specific to IQ Foiling to discuss daily training and goals. We would sail for 2-4 hours doing a range of drills from maneuvers to course and slalom racing drills. After training, I was so exhausted but stayed for another two hours for a session debrief where we analyzed videos and GPS trackers. After training, my favorite thing to do was to get really good Latin food at the local cafes. Overall this was one of my favorite trips I've done so far because I could focus solely on my training without the pressure of racing.
