After over 36 hours of traveling to get to Oman, my first day there was amazing! I was introduced to the other sailors of Team USA. The whole experience of going to Oman and competing in this competition was incredible. I met so many people from around the world and learned so much about windsurfing and racing. From riding camels to seeing sea snakes, everything I did was exciting. This was my first ever Techno 293+ race, so I had very low expectations for my performance, especially since I train on the IQ Foil. Even with hours on the water and painful blisters, I'm so glad I went to this event because of everything I learned from all of my amazing coaches and teammates. This trip made taking my exams 2 weeks early worth it!
