I had an AMAZING time training at Crissy Fields underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. I definitely improved my sailing tactics and learned a lot about sailing in strong current. I had to quickly adapt to the cold weather and wore around 3 layers of wetsuits everyday. I placed 3rd at the OCR and I was very frustrated with my performance. I had been training so hard and not getting the results I wanted, while not understanding what I was doing wrong. I wanted to win this event so badly and I realized I just got in my head and wasn't in the right mental state. Even with my frustrations I'm happy with this experience because I was able to learn from my mistakes and fix them in training at home.
